Company is seeking a Vice President of Field Services to lead the acceptance, commissioning, and long-term maintenance of fiber optic networks within the ecosystem. This role oversees field operations supporting new network integration, preventative maintenance, trouble ticket response, relocations, restoration, and customer focused remote hands activities. The Vice President will manage a team of field technicians responsible for acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, repair, configuration, and testing of fiber optic networks and shelter sites, including work on Adva, Nokia, and Ciena equipment, as well as comparable optical and data platforms. A core focus of this role is delivering a best-in-class customer experience by building strong client relationships, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance, and aligning field operations with Company’s strategic objectives in coordination with construction teams. The Vice President serves as a key liaison between executive leadership and field teams, driving clear communication, operational efficiency, and consistent execution.
Responsibilities:

- Ability to de-escalate customer concerns in a professional manner
- Create and implement training programs for team members to meet internal and external needs.
- Oversee field operations and locator teams across the designated territory.
- Coordinate operational maintenance task with field teams for all shelter locations and POP facilities managed by company.
- Maintain and manage accurate field documentation and issue regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Support ongoing maintenance and emergency repairs for communications infrastructure, including fiber optic cables and network equipment.
- Coordinate response to outages, conduct site inspections, troubleshoot network issues, and timely resolutions.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance plans and safety procedures.
- Generate technical reports, analyze system data, and contribute to operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must already live in the location the job posting is associated with.
- Education: (Preferred) – Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications or equivalent civil construction experience will be considered.
- 10+ years’ experience within the telecommunications or utility industry.
