The Vice President of Data Center Construction is responsible for leading the planning and execution of data center construction projects across the company’s portfolio. This role oversees greenfield developments, phased campus expansions, and major infrastructure upgrades supporting enterprise and hyperscale customer growth. Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Construction drives project delivery performance, financial outcomes, contractor oversight, and schedule predictability across multiple active sites. This leader ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while aligning construction activities with operational and capacity objectives. This role requires deep expertise in mission-critical infrastructure, MEP systems, commissioning, and multi-site construction program management.
What You’ll Do
Capital & Project Leadership

Lead execution of the company’s construction capital plan across multiple markets

Oversee full lifecycle project delivery from site readiness through commissioning and formal operational handoff

Accountable for the financial performance and schedule predictability of all active construction projects

Manage forecasting, cost control, change orders, and capital deployment

Establish consistent construction processes, reporting standards, and performance cadence
Data Center Construction Delivery

Oversee multiple concurrent greenfield builds and campus expansion projects

Serve as the company’s representative in oversight of general contractors, EPC firms, and trade partners

Ensure proper execution of mission-critical systems, including:

Utility coordination and power distribution

Cooling infrastructure and redundancy systems

Commissioning and quality assurance programs

Ensure disciplined project closeout, commissioning documentation, and structured operational turnover
Contractor & Vendor Oversight

Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with general contractors and consultants

Establish contractor performance scorecards and enforce accountability

Lead major construction contract negotiations and change management processes

Monitor supply chain risk and manage long-lead equipment procurement
