Company is a leading provider of full-service turnkey communications solutions and electrical infrastructure design and construction services across the United States. The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving regional growth in the Southwest region (TX, AZ, NM) through strategic expansion of infrastructure-related opportunities. In this role, the incumbent will develop, coordinate, and implement plans to increase business with existing clients and secure new opportunities across utility, telecom, renewable energy, infrastructure, solar, electrical vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, and municipal sectors.
Responsibilities:
• Lead business development and account management processes in the construction infrastructure sector.
• Identify and pursue new project opportunities within the utility, telecom, renewable energy, infrastructure, solar, EV charging infrastructure, and municipal sectors.
• Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Understand and respond to client needs with customized infrastructure solutions.
• Stay informed on competitor strategies, pricing, strengths, and weaknesses to maintain competitive advantage.
• Prepare proposals and coordinate contracts with Project Managers and Estimating Teams.
• Maintain a pipeline of prospective opportunities in CRM; provide accurate weekly forecasts and reports.
• Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and marketing team to align sales strategies with brand messaging.
• Actively manage and resolve customer concerns with professionalism and urgency.
• Travel required 50%.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• A bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience selling in a competitive infrastructure construction market is required.
• Experience in telecommunication, utility, infrastructure, renewable energy, solar, and EV charging infrastructure construction is required.
• Knowledge of data center, transportation, or energy infrastructure is a strong plus.
• Strong connections with industry stakeholders including Carriers, Utilities, General Contractors, Municipal Agencies, and EV charging providers.
