We are seeking a proven Vice President of Operations to own end-to-end operational execution across the company’s network services portfolio. This role provides enterprise-wide operational leadership — spanning network operations, project management, service delivery, billing operations, vendor management, and compliance — while working closely with executive leadership to drive scalable growth.

Objectives of the Role

  • Serve as the operational backbone of the organization, ensuring all services, products, and deliverables are executed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with client agreements
  • Partner with executive leadership to translate company strategy into operational plans, resource allocation, and measurable performance targets
  • Build and continuously improve systems, processes, and team structures required to scale operations efficiently
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between Operations, Technology, Client Strategy, Finance, and Project/Program leadership

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end accountability for all operational deliverables — ensuring network services, managed services, and product deployments are completed to scope, budget, and agreement
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational systems and processes that provide real-time visibility into progress, deliverables, and risk
  • Lead the transition of operational functions as the organization evolves
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for client-facing delivery issues

Strategic Planning & Budget Management

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop performance goals and long-term operational plans aligned with company objectives
  • Own the operational budget — including planning, expense management, and variance reporting
  • Drive KPI development and reporting across efficiency, delivery performance, and financial metrics
  • Contribute to enterprise strategy, growth initiatives, and market positioning

Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the operations organization, including managers, project teams, and vendor relationships
  • Ensure proper staffing, skill alignment, and performance management across teams
  • Foster a high-performance, accountable, and client-focused culture
  • Partner with HR on workforce planning, succession, and development

Client, Vendor & Compliance Management

  • Ensure all operational activities align with client agreements, SOWs, and contractual obligations
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor performance to strict delivery standards
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory and program requirements where applicable
  • Enhance customer experience through operational improvements that drive retention

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Technology leadership on infrastructure and deployment execution
  • Collaborate with Client Strategy teams on lifecycle management and service delivery
  • Work with Project/Program leadership to ensure governance, timelines, and budget adherence
  • Participate in executive and board-level operational reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 7–10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including 3–5 years at a senior level
  • Background in telecommunications, networking, managed services, or infrastructure environments
  • Proven experience managing budgets and P&L accountability
  • Strong KPI, reporting, and data-driven decision-making experience
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems (ERP/CRM/project tools)

Preferred

  • Experience with network infrastructure or NOC environments
  • Familiarity with regulated or compliance-driven programs
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or similar certifications
  • Experience leading operational scale or organizational transformation initiatives
